Support DaKine Directory

The directory is free to browse and always will be. No ads, no commission, and nothing taken from what a vendor sells.

It lists 14 Hawaiʻi businesses so far — home bakers, food trucks, market vendors and makers, the ones without a storefront who don't come up on a search engine the way a shop does. A listing costs $17 a month, and that is the whole business model. No investors, no advertising money.

Where support goes

That last one is the reason this page exists. Four listings have come down this year because $17 was $17 too much at the wrong moment, and every one of them was a real business that people were still looking up.

One time

Any amount. $17 keeps one listing up for a month; $34 covers a vendor's first two months.

At checkout you can send it wherever it's needed most, or put it toward inviting a business that isn't listed yet. To back one business in particular, use the sponsor button on their page.

The Mahalo Wall

Everyone here has paid to keep somebody else's listing up. Which listing stays between them, that business and me — unless the owner decides to say thank you themselves.

Nobody yet. The first name here will be whoever keeps a listing up for a vendor having a hard month — and they can stay anonymous if they'd rather.

Not in a position to give?

That's completely fine, and there are two things worth more than money anyway: use the app and buy from the people on it, and tell a business you like that they should be listed. The directory is only worth anything if the businesses on it are busy.

Run a business? List it here — free for the first few months, and I'll set it up for you if you'd rather send me photos than fill in a form.
